About the Role

Responsible for servicing electrical and automation systems on ships, including PLC programming, HMI systems, and main switchboard panels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service electrical and automation systems on ships
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
  • Modify and troubleshoot main switchboard (MSB) and starter panels
  • Select, install, and control VFDs; perform power cable terminations
  • Create electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, and termination drawings
  • Generate MTOs for electrical systems based on design specifications
  • Use AutoCAD for reading and creating electrical drawings
  • Handle site installation jobs with physical endurance and time management
  • Communicate progress in English; work under pressure during limited port stays
  • Undergo training for IMOS patented product installations
  • Relocate and travel on short notice for ship calls

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with PLC programming and HMI systems
  • Knowledge of MSB and starter panel modification and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with VFD selection, installation, and power cable terminations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design
  • Experience with shipboard systems: boiler panels, AMS-PMS, MSBGSP, fire detection, PAGA, tank gauging, valve control
